RESOURCES

Here you'll find links to useful resources - latin pronunciation guide, practice lessons, performances, parts recordings, tips and techniques...

Recommendations are always welcome...

Your key resource is, of course, live rehearsals!

In addition, each week's rehearsal is recorded, strictly for choir members' use only. If you are a BBCS fully paid-up up singer, our secretary will email you the YouTube links at the beginning of term

It's all about Mozart this term...

Mozart's Requiem rehearsals are in full swing and going well. This sublime choral work is both challenging and enormously rewarding. And for some of us, getting to grips with latin pronunciation adds to the mix.

There are lots of online pronunciation guides you can take a look at if you are unsure. Sherborne Festival Chorus

has produced a straightforward Transliteration Guide specifically for Mozart's Reqiuem.

For the absolute basics, clearly explained and demonstrated in detail, you might find the youtube video guide below useful.

NB There's quite a lot of intro chat; the actual pronunciation practice starts at around 5.27.
